The most significant difference between these projects and academic coursework was the audience. When design ships to a real event — printed on certificates handed to real people, displayed on screens in a live room — the feedback is immediate and unambiguous. There is no rubric. Either it communicates, or it doesn't.

That pressure revealed a gap in my process: I had been designing at presentation-size on a calibrated monitor. Real assets need to survive printing, resizing, and contexts you didn't design for. That standard has carried into every project since.
